Stratford upon Avon AC takes part in various competitions at cross country and encourages all standards of runners to take part.
In the seniors we are members of the Birmingham League for men where we compete in Division 2 and the First Division of the Midland Women's League.
The juniors are very active in the West Midland Young Athletes Cross Country League where last season (2014 - 2015) we came 5th overall which was our best ever season.
The club is also a member of the Gloucester Cross Country League, which is for all age groups from under 11s to veterans, where individual members can compete although we do not usually enter full teams as our priorities are the other leagues.
In addition we always have many athletes competing in the County and Midland Championships where we often have medallists. The club members also compete in the National Championships and travel as far afield as Sunderland in the north to London in the south to take part, often arranging buses or mini buses for the runners and supporters.

For those of you who haven't done this before the club can run as many athletes as we want, there are no qualification standards. Details of the league are on it's website but note that the details haven't been updated for next season yet.
The 2014-15 season was our best ever, we won a host of individual medals in the age groups and also came 5th overall which is our best performance yet. I hope and expect everyone who trains in the endurance groups on Thursday and Sunday in these age groups will compete for our club in the league.
I will let you have more details of each fixture nearer the time but in the meantime please make sure you have the dates in your diary. I'm sure that for five Sundays during the winter there will be no rugby, football or anything else but cross country and that we can do even better this season.
The details for the 2015/16 Birmingham League XC League and Midland Womens League will be shown here shortly.
