Shipston IX Road Running Race
Well done to you all for braving the extreme conditions for the first edition – we couldn’t have chosen a bleaker place for the start! Huge thank you to the marshals looking after the runners, it was very cold out there.

See you in 2026!
Replacing the ‘Not the Roman IX’, the inaugural Shipston IX race will take place on 26th January 2025. The first one will be a small race, to dip our toes in, and see if you all like it.
A nine mile road race on quiet rural roads, its going to be a fast route – its quite flat.
Parking will be in the public car parks that are in and around Shipston on Stour, so allow time to walk from your parking to race HQ – based at Shipston on Stour Scout Hut (CV36 4EW), where numbers will be collected, and there will be home made cakes and tea and coffees for sale afterwards.
The start and finish will be on Fell Mill Lane which is a 10 minute walk from race HQ, at 10.00am . We have applied for a 3 hour road closure of this road for the purposes of managing the start and finish safely without traffic.
There will be prizes for the first 3 men and first 3 ladies.
