Following on from last week’s comments on the importance of Winter training, above and below are a few photos proving that our juniors’s are certainly putting in the hard yards despite the sub-zero temperatures and somewhat damp conditions.
Last weekend saw both our junior T&F athletes and endurance runners going through their paces on both the track and the Welcombe Hills.
This week’s newsletter is mainly about looking back at 2024 with the annual photo special.
I hope you enjoy looking at the photos which will perhaps remind you of what another great year it was for Stratford upon Avon Athletic Club.
As 2024 passes, we welcome 2025 which promises to get off to a flying start this weekend with competitions across many disciplines.
Several of our T&F athletes will be competing at Loughborough in the first of this year’s indoor meetings and, weather permitting, there will be XC fixtures for all age groups. Our junior endurance runners will be competing at Wolverhampton, our senior ladies at Warley Woods and senior men at Worcester. Good luck to them all.

A week later than intended but better late than never as they say.
Below is a selection of photos looking back at 2024 and reminding us of some of the highlights of what was yet another successful and hugely enjoyable year for our wonderful club across all ages and across all disciplines.
None of this would have been possible without the small army of people who give freely of their time to have made this happen – the coaches, officials, supportive parents and other volunteers, of which there is alway room for more in every category.
